One of the main features people look for when purchasing a new smartphone is a high-quality camera. For as long as I can remember, Samsung’s been competing with the big dogs in the shooter department — and it’s latest smartphones are no exception.

The Galaxy C9, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge all feature fantastic sensors, which are capable of capturing amazing photographs. However, that’s only half of the story; software plays a pretty big part in snapping images too.

Most users shoot in Auto, which, as its name suggests, automatically adjusts exposure, ISO and a vast array of other settings based on your environment to let you take the best possible picture of your subject in its surroundings.

Unfortunately, the Auto mode has always been the part of the equation that’s let smartphone manufacturers down. This has resulted in many mobile photographers using Pro modes to alter their camera settings manually.

It’s now reached a point though where Auto shooting is very accurate — especially on Samsung’s flagship devices — which has led to many people ditching the Pro option. This bodes the question: Do you use the Pro mode on your Samsung phone’s camera?
